Sofiero Palace and Park is located just north of Helsingborg overlooking the Sound (Öresund).
It’s easy to get here on foot, by bicycle, car and bus.

Landborgspromenaden to Sofiero

From Kärnan in the middle of Helsingborg, you can hike to the north, through the beautiful parks and wonderful nature, with ever-recurring views of the city and the Sound. You will also pass through the well-known forest and nature area Pålsjö Forest before the walk ends at Sofiero Palace. The distance from Kärnan to Sofiero is about 6 kilometres.

By public transport

You can easily get to Helsingborg by commuter trains, such as Öresundståg and Pågatåg, which traffic Skåne and even Copenhagen Airport and Copenhagen. When you arrive in Helsingborg, you take the green city bus no. 8 in the northbound direction, towards Domsten or Hittarp. The bus stop you are getting off at is Laröd Sofiero Huvudentrén. Bus no. 8 departs from Helsingborg C, among others.

By train

It is very convenient and easy to get to Helsingborg by train. Swedens largest train operator, SJ, traffic routes within Sweden and from Oslo, Copenhagen and Berlin. The regional train company Skånetrafiken operates between Copenhagen and Helsingborg, and even up to Gothenburg.

By car

From Malmö/Lund
Take E6 in the northbound direction of Helsingborg/Gothenburg. Turn towards Höganäs and road no. 111. Follow road 111 and take a turn towards Laröd. Follow the signs leading to Sofiero.

From Gotheburg
Take E6 in the southbound direction of Helsingborg/Malmö. Turn towards Höganäs and road no. 111. Follow road 111 and take a turn towards Laröd. Follow the signs leading to Sofiero.

From Stockholm
Take E4 in the southbound direction of Helsingborg. Turn towards Höganäs and road no. 111. Follow road 111 and take a turn towards Laröd. Follow the signs leading to Sofiero.

From Kristianstad/Hässleholm
Take roads 21 and road E4 in the westbound direction of Helsingborg. Turn towards Höganäs and road no. 111. Follow road 111 and take a turn towards Laröd. Follow the signs leading to Sofiero.

If you are in Helsingborg, you can also take Drottninggatan going north.

By bike

Swedens first national bicycle route, Kattegatleden, is a 370 km long route that runs all the way from Gothenburg to Helsingborg with a unique coastal setting. On the way, you are offered interesting destinations, places to stay and eat, bicycles for hire and service points.

By ferrie

Take a classic ferrie ride between Elsinore in Denmark and Helsingborg in Sweden. The ferries depart from Knutpunkten, Helsingborg C, 3-4 times per hour. The journey takes about 20 minutes.

By plane

In order to take the plane to Helsingborg, you search for departures towards one of the three airports nearby: Copenhagen Airport, which is an hour away by train or ferrie; Ängelholm and Helsingborg Airport, which is situated 35 km north of Helsingborg from where you take the train or airbus to Helsingborg C; and Malmö Airport, which is about an hour away by car, airbus and train.
